The Queen’s Head at Bramfield has now raised nearly £15,750 for the Pear Tree Fund.
The popular pub chose the Pear Tree Fund as its charity of the year in 2019 after hearing about the support it offers to vulnerable local people. Since then, its staff and customers have taken the fund to their hearts and have continued to support the charity, with the total now standing at £15,743.
A huge variety of activities have taken place to raise the money, including pop-up bookshops, musical bingo evenings, race nights, food tastings, raffles and fashion shows.
Juliette Weaver, community fundraiser with the Pear Tree Fund, said: “The enthusiasm, energy and devotion of the Queen’s Head team are an inspiration to us all.
“Their fundraising total so far is a staggering £15,743.80, which is an absolutely phenomenal amount. This has made a significant impact on the lives of many local people who are struggling with a life-changing condition as well as people who have been bereaved.
“We truly appreciate how much work has gone into your fundraising and would like to thank them once again for their unwavering support.”
