The Queen’s Head at Bramfield has raised a further £2,001 for the Pear Tree Fund after converting its restaurant into a full-size pop-up charity book shop for the second time.
The pub transformed into a bookworm’s dream in late March, offering visitors the chance to choose from 3,000 pre-loved titles spanning a huge variety of genres, as well as good quality second-hand board games and jigsaws.
The event took over the floor space of two thirds of the pub for three days, and was unique in its size and scale in the UK.
It is the second time the Queen’s Head has held the pop-up bookshop. At last year’s event, the pub raised just over £1,200.
