The Pear Tree Centre

Our Team

The Pear Tree Centre is run by a dedicated team of three staff, who are supported by our fantastic volunteers. They are:

Seva Newrick

Seva Newrick

Seva has worked in the care sector in east Suffolk for the past 30 years, during which time she has developed extensive knowledge of the local area and strong working relationships with a variety of different charities and community organisations. She joins our charity from a local care agency based in the town.

“I have always been very passionate about the Pear Tree Fund. It’s a dream come true to have been appointed as manager of the centre and I feel very proud,” said Seva. “I’m looking forward to being able to make a difference and offering a warm welcome to everyone who visits the Pear Tree Centre.”

Anita Kirk

Anita Kirk

Admin assistant

Anita joined our team from a local builder’s merchants, where she spent 24 years as branch administrator with a focus on delivering excellent customer services. She brings with her extensive local knowledge after living in the area for the past 30 years.

“I am so pleased to be part of the Pear Tree Fund and believe the centre is a much-needed asset which will bring huge benefits to the people of Halesworth and the surrounding areas,” said Anita. “I’m excited and proud to be part of this new venture.”

Jackie Leftley

Jackie Leftley

Deputy manager

Jackie has developed a sound knowledge of Halesworth and the surrounding area after working in healthcare locally for almost thirty five years. She is well-known after spending her career working as a clinical link nurse for the community hospitals and field care supervisor for Prestige, where she helped new carers to develop their skills and knowledge to help them provide the best possible care.

“I am thrilled to be working at the Pear Tree Centre and feel that the whole site encompasses a feeling of calm and sensitivity. I feel like I’ve come home after all the years I worked at the hospital and am so pleased to be part of such a worthwhile enterprise.”
