Help us plan for the future

Thank you for considering leaving a gift to The Pear Tree Fund in your will.

Your generosity really will help us make a difference to local people by providing them with emotional, practical and physical support when they need it the most.

There are several different types of legacy you might like to consider. The three main types are:

  • pecuniary legacy – which allows you to specify the amount of money you would like to give
  • residuary legacy – which is a gift of all or part of your estate after all other expenses, debts and legacies have been paid
  • specific legacy – which is a gift of a specific asset, such as property, land or shares

Your solicitor or legal advisor can offer you further advice, as well as telling you more about other types of legacy which may be more appropriate for you. They can also advise on the best wording to use in your will reflect the type of gift you wish to make, as well as the potential tax benefits of leaving a legacy to charity.
