Local author and long-time community supporter Martin Ducker has officially released his new book, Fighting Spirit: A Journey Through Martial Arts Mastery.
The book provides a candid look at Martin’s path, taking readers on a journey from a troublesome youth to martial arts mastery, exploring the mindset, discipline and resilience it takes to overcome life’s toughest challenges. Written with honesty and hard-earned wisdom, it’s a powerful read for anyone seeking focus, strength and clarity.
The Pear Tree Fund holds a very special place in Martin’s heart. The provided invaluable support to Martin and his family during the difficult bereavement of his beloved wife. Martin openly shares his gratitude, saying: “The Pear Tree was a source of immense comfort and practical help during one of the most challenging times of my life. I’m incredibly grateful for their support.”
Martin has also been a steadfast advocate for The Pear Tree Fund for many years, including becoming one of the founding members of the centre’s highly popular Men’s Group. This group continues to provide a vital space for camaraderie and support to men of all ages within a 15-mile radius of Halesworth.
